There are ethical, sustainable companies out there offering sales during Green Friday and Cyber Monday this year! With a little planning ahead, you can purchase things for yourself and others from these zero waste companies with a much smaller environmental footprint.
Shop Ethically Online and Stay Home
Especially with coronavirus still a huge risk in the U.S. and on the rise in many states, it's important for everyone to stay home whenever possible (especially if you're in a state that doesn't require masks in stores). Black Friday sales are likely to draw large crowds to many big box stores with little room for social distancing.
Instead, there are many companies offering discounts online! This doesn't mean I recommend you simply purchase these things to try to shop away your winter blues. Overconsumption is never eco-friendly and never zero waste. Buy what you need from these stores and only what you cannot find secondhand.
